A Note from Virginia

Dear Visitor,

This space is a quiet archive of wanderings, thoughtfully crafted to hold stories, memories, and moments that might otherwise be lost to time. Traveled across several Indian states and a few countries beyond - over time, I found myself sharing travel stories and helping friends craft itineraries. But memory can be fleeting, and I often forget the small, beautiful details a few months after a trip. One night, I decided to start journaling to preserve those memories. And that is how Chronicles of Virginia was born, right from my bed.

The name Chronicles of Virginia is inspired by the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia, each post is a doorway to another world. Just as Narnia lies across a door, I view travel as my own escape. It is a magical journey beyond the everyday.

My logo reflects that sense of wonder. Rugged mountains show adventure, a star‑studded sky and a luminous moon bring a sense of awe, and a shooting star carries my quiet wishes. Then there is Saturn, etched in my memory from that surreal night under a velvet sky when I saw it through a telescope for the first time. That image has stayed with me, and that is why Saturn graces the design.

I have always wanted a golden retriever as a pet. However, with work and frequent travel it is difficult for me to manage one right now. That is why I added one there until I can welcome one into my life for real.
